Retention principles
Different records have different purposes and therefore may have different retention periods. We aim to avoid retaining personal information longer than reasonably necessary.
Examples of retained records
- Active account and workspace data while the service is being used.
- Security and diagnostic logs for a limited period needed to investigate abuse and reliability issues.
- Invoices, transaction references and business records for applicable accounting, tax or legal requirements.
- Support or dispute records for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve and document the matter.
- Backups for a limited rotation period, after which older copies are overwritten according to backup processes.
After account closure
Data that is no longer needed may be deleted or anonymized. Certain records may remain where required by law, to enforce agreements, prevent fraud or protect legal rights.
Deletion requests
See User Data Deletion Instructions for the request process.
